Ask the Consul
I Want to Travel during the Summer with my Grandkids. Is this
Possible?
During the summer months many Dominicans want to travel and take advantage of
the school break. Summer vacations may involve grandparents attempting to take
their grandkids to the U.S. or other family members wanting to travel with the
kids. Visa applicants will find it very difficult to convince a Consular
Officer of a child’s eligibility for a visa if the parents of the children do
not have visas. More often than not, a Consular Officer will use as criteria
for his or her decision the fact of whether or not the parents have visas and
good travel. One of the purposes of issuing tourists visas to children is to
allow them to continue the good travel habits established by their parents. |
