Nonimmigrant Visa Services

Department of State regulations require virtually all nonimmigrant visa applicants to appear in person at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate and interview with a consular officer. In Santo Domingo, all nonimmigrant visa appointments are scheduled through the Visa Information. This service is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday. In order to schedule appointments and/or receive information in addition to what is provided on this website, nonimmigrant visa applicants must purchase a Personal Identification Number (PIN) at any branch of Banco Popular.

Nonimmigrant visa applicants have two PIN options from which to choose. The first provides 5 minutes of access to the center at a cost of the Dominican Peso equivalent of USD$5.25. The second provides 15 minutes of access at a cost of the Dominican Peso equivalent of USD$16.00. Typically, applicants who wish to schedule appointments purchase the 15-minute PIN. The 5-minute PIN is recommended for those applicants who are requesting clarification or confirming an appointment.

After purchasing the PIN, applicants may contact the Visa Information Center at 1-809-200-3232 from the Dominican Republic or 1-877-804-5402 from the United States to receive information or to make an appointment. Please note, if the time allowed for the PIN you have obtained runs out, you must obtain a new PIN and call again.
