We regret to inform you that due to retrogression in cut-off dates of F2A and F1 visa categories, we cannot schedule the affected cases until their priority dates become current.  Please consult a list of the retrogressed cases that were about to receive an appointment.  Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to give an estimate on when these categories will again become current.  Readers may verify visa availability at the U.S. Department of State’s monthly Visa Bulletin located at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_2943.html.

Appointment Waiting List

We post an appointment waiting list made up of new cases received from the National Visa Center (NVC) and previously refused cases in which the applicant has requested a new appointment in writing. If you believe that your case should be on the list and do not find it, please contact us.

We are working our way through these cases in the order in which we receive them.  Our first priority, however, is the security of the American people.  Please be assured that we are working as efficiently as possible consistent with making reasoned, legally supportable decisions.

While we are unable to predict with certainty when we will be able to schedule a particular case for a new interview with a consular officer, the list below will tell you how many cases are ahead of yours.  Simply follow these steps:

1) Click on the link below.

2) Once the list is displayed on your screen (please be patient - it may take a few minutes for the list to appear), press the black binoculars icon on the toolbar. The “Acrobat Find” dialog box will appear.

3) Enter your case number in the dialog box. The case number has 13 characters - three letters (usually SDO) followed by ten numbers. Enter all 13 characters and click on the button entitled “Find”.

4) Important: DO NOT enter the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) - formerly the Immigration and Naturalization Service - receipt number. The USCIS receipt number also has 13 characters but begins with EAC, LIN, MSC, SRC or WAC. This receipt number will not work on this page.
