The Office of Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Embassy, in Santo Domingo, offers just such a service called "Agri-Contactos" ("Trade Leads" in English) which connects Dominican buyers with American suppliers. All you have to do is follow three easy steps:

1) Fill out the form below "Solicitud Para Agri-Contactos" telling us how

U.S. Suppliers can reach you and what type of product you are interested in importing. It's very important to fill out the form clearly and completely so we may better serve you. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to call at (809) 227-0112, ext. 275.

2) Fax us your completed form to:

Marketing/Admin. Assistant, U.S. Embassy

Once we receive your form, we immediately transmit the information to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Washington, D.C., which has an immense database of U.S. suppliers. USDA, in turn, directly transmits to specific suppliers which offer products you are interested in buying through the Internet and published in the Journal of Commerce of the United States.

3) Wait for interested suppliers to reach you via fax, phone or e-mail.

That's all there is to it -- U.S. suppliers at your fingertips. Good luck! We're looking forward to hearing from you.

Un Llamado a los Importadores Dominicanos (o Posibles Importadores) !!!

Está usted en busca de un suplidor en los Estados Unidos de productos agrícolas, forestales o productos de consumo rápido y asi poder obtener la mejor oferta sin tener que pagar un centavo por este servicio eficaz y fácil?

La Oficina de Asuntos Agrícolas de la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Santo Domingo, ofrece dicho servicio llamado "Agri-Contactos" ("Trade Leads" en inglés) el cual conecta los compradores dominicanos con los suplidores americanos. Todo lo que tiene que hacer es seguir estos tres pasos:

1) Completar el cuestionario anexo "Solicitud Para Agri-Contactos" informando como los suplidores americanos pueden comunicarse con usted y que tipo de producto le interesa importar. Es muy importante completar el cuestionario en una forma clara y precisa para poder servirle mejor. Si tiene algunas preguntas, favor de no dudar en comunicarse con nosotros llamando al (809) 227-0112 or fax (809) 732-9454.

2) Enviar el cuestionario vía fax a:

Una vez se reciba su cuestionario, inmediatamente procedemos a transmitir la información al Departamento de Agricultura de los Estados Unidos (USDA) en Washington, D.C., el cual mantiene una inmensa base de datos de suplidores agrícolas norteamericanos. El Departamento de Agricultura de los Estados Unidos en cambio, le comunica directamente a los suplidores que ofrecen los productos de su interés a travéz del Internet y publicado en la Revista Comercial (Journal of Commerce) de los Estados Unidos.

3) Espere la respuesta de suplidores interesados, a travéz del fax, teléfono ó correo electrónico (e-mail).

Eso es todo lo que tiene que hacer -- suplidores de los Estados Unidos a sus pies. Mucha suerte!
