Clarification by the U.S. Embassy on Possible Transfer of its Headquarters

SANTO DOMINGO - The United States Embassy in the Dominican Republic reports that any change of location of its diplomatic mission requires the approval of the State Department.

To date, the State Department has not made any decision regarding this matter.

In any case, due to the programming of the Buildings Overseas Office of the State Department, this measure could not be carried out before the year 2008.
